I was challenged in one of my facebook groups to come up with one word that summed up 2019 and another one, looking forward, for 2020. Normally (even though I love words and writing) this would have been difficult for me, but this year it was crystal clear, as I had already been thinking about 2019 vs. 2020 for several months.
Here’s what I wrote in the group:
“2019 was a hard year for me…due to some family issues, I had to let go of a big goal I was on track to reach. In the first half of 2019, my business schedule/agenda was not healthy instead of “working heartily as unto the Lord”. I found myself striving hard to the point of neglecting my own self care and some other things that I claimed were important to me. I believe my interruptions were divine appointments to reset my priorities and focus my attention on what really matters in life. My word for 2019 is “interrupted”
My word for 2020 is “steady” …
Steady, healthy progress in more areas than just my biz…family relationships, self care, bible study, prayer time, friendships, caring for my home. These all need consistency, yes, but also steady…not plowing ahead at all costs and not neglecting the things that are important. Steady is somewhere in the middle and that’s what I intend to find.”
What words would you use for 2019 and 2020?
